Xela | Contemporary Artist | Cosmic Surrealism — Between Worlds
Born in Austria, Xela’s artistic journey has been shaped by travel, cultural encounters, and an ongoing exploration of consciousness and transformation.
Australia awakened her desire to paint, while six months dedicated to her artistic practice in Cape Town, South Africa, inspired her African Series and marked the beginning of her international exhibition career.
More than two decades living in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, further enriched her distinctive visual language through the city’s cultural openness and spiritual diversity.
Working intuitively, Xela creates symbolic paintings in which archetypal animals, dreamlike landscapes, and cosmic imagery become visual metaphors for consciousness, transformation, and humanity’s connection to the unseen. Through her ongoing body of work, Cosmic Surrealism — Between Worlds, she explores the space where inner and outer realities meet.
Her work has been exhibited internationally, including New York, Miami during Art Basel Week, Paris, Barcelona, Zurich, and Chongqing, China.
