Born in Austria, Xela’s artistic journey was shaped by travel and cultural encounters. Australia awakened her desire to paint, while six months dedicated to her artistic practice in Cape Town/South Africa, inspired her African Series and marked the beginning of her international exhibition career.

More than two decades living in Amsterdam/The Netherlands, further enriched her distinctive visual language through its rich cultural and spiritual diversity.

Working intuitively, she creates symbolic paintings that explore consciousness, transformation and the connection between the visible and the unseen through archetypal forms, dreamlike landscapes and cosmic narratives.

Her work has been exhibited internationally, including New York, Miami during Art Basel Week, Paris, Barcelona and Chongqing, China.
